Hey everyone!
I hope you are doing great! I took off some time from blogging to celebrate Christmas. I had a really great one and I hope you did too. I may or may not insert a picture at the bottom from the Justin Timberlake concert I went to on the 20th…
I can’t even believe I’m doing this post right now. It means the year is so close to being over that I’m making a list of all the STANDOUT products I loved this WHOLE year…I just cannot get over that a whole year has come and gone in the blink of an eye. If you want to see what my 2014 Beauty Favorites are then definitely keep reading.
2014 Beauty Favorites:
This is going to be a long post because hello it’s my favorites from the WHOLE YEAR, so you might just want to grab yourself a snack and a beverage.
Some of the items listed below are not pictured above. Affiliate Links are used in this post and if used you are helping support this blog at no additional cost to you.
MAKEUP.
Β 1 // IT Cosmetics Naturally Pretty Palette: I’ve talked about this palette a few times on the blog and I just can’t get enough of it. This is one of those eye shadow palettes you can pull out any day of the week and get a completely different look each time. It’s super wearable with blendable pigmented shadows. Read the full review here.
2 // NYX Blush in Cinnamon: This is probably my favorite blush EVER, it’s perfect for Spring and Summer, but can definitely still work in Fall and Winter. It’s just beautiful. See more here.
3 // LO’Real Smoldering Eyeliner: I’ve been using this for years now and I haven’t found anything as good. It is really creamy, very black, and smudges liner to perfection. It also stays put on my waterline all day, which is a must. Everyone should try this.
4 // Maybelline Instant Dark Circle Eraser Concealer: I’ve tried many concealers for under the eyes and this is by far my favorite. It’s so creamy, but doesn’t settle into fine lines. If you get it in the “brightener” shade it definitely highlights under the eyes concealing the dark circles. Amazing product.
5 // NYX Eyebrow Powder: I’ve talked about this before but this is absolutely my favorite eyebrow powder. It just works, that’s all I need it to do.
6 // Smashbox Photo Finishing Pore Minimizing Primer: I just found this towards the latter part of the year, but it is HANDS DOWN the best primer I’ve ever used. Especially for the oily skin, large pore girls out there like myself.
7 // NARS Audacious Lipstick in Anna: I mean what can we say here, this lipstick has my name written all over it… haha. Anyways this is a beautiful color that I’ve been wearing the heck out of this Fall and Winter. It’s super creamy and pigmented too.
8 // MAC lipstick in Flamingo: This was my go-to Summer lippie. It’s so flattering and very wearable.
9 // Sigma F80 Kabuki Brush: I thought I would throw in a couple brushes too. I went a long time not using this brush for whatever reason, and this year I totally rediscovered it. It just blends your foundation so smooth and it’s really easy to use. I definitely recommend this. See my favorite Sigma Brushes here.
10 // Real Techniques Blush Brush: Not much to say about this, except that is does it’s job and applies blush like a dream.
HAIR.
1 // Batiste Dry Shampoo: Dry Shampoo is a must for me because I don’t like washing my hair everyday. Batiste is an amazing brand. It makes dirty hair look and feel so much cleaner. Plus it smells great.
2 // Aloxxi Flexible Hairspray: Let me just say I’m not a hairspray kind of girl. But I got a ton of hairspray in my Allure Summer Beauty Box, so I’ve started using hairspray a lot more this year, and this stuff is amazing. It doesn’t even feel like I have hairspray in which is perfect for me, but it also holds the hair really well.
3 // Victoria’s Secret Shampoo and Conditioner: I had no idea I would love these as much as I do, but they smell AMAZING, and leave my hair shiny, and bouncy.
SKIN.
1 // Michael Todd Soniclear: I love how clean this makes my skin. I’ve noticed if I use it regularly it gives me a natural glow, and baby smooth skin. Plus when your face gets really clean serums and moisturizers can sink into the skin like they should so much better. See a full review here.
2 // GlamGlow Super Mud Clearing Treatment: This mask is expensive, but I really do think it’s worth it. It’s like nothing you can get at the drugstore. It will literally suck dirt and grossness out of your pores like a vacuum cleaner. Crazy. See the full review here.
3 // Clean &Β Clear Persa Gel 10 Spot Treatment: If I get any breakouts I always put this spot treatment to work. Leave it on overnight and it’s basically gone the next day.
4 // Clinique Dramatically Different Moisturizing Gel: I’ve been using this moisturizer for a long time now and I love how light it is, I don’t need some thick overly hydrating moisturizer, this is perfect for everyday, morning and night use.
5 // Biore Charcoal Cleanser: I’ve tried many cleansers, but none work quiet like this one does for me. It has charcoal in it too so like the mask mentioned above it’s really great at cleaning out pores. When I run out of this stuff, my skin misses it until I buy it again.
BODY.
1 // Soap and Glory Smoothie Breakfast Scrub: THIS SCRUB SMELLS AMAZING…and feels amazing, I don’t have much else to say except you NEED this in your life. So good.
2 // Philosophy’s Falling in Love Perfume: I love this perfume, it’s a sweet scent that kind of reminds me of cotton candy mixed with something else. I always get tons of compliments when I wear this.
NAILS.
1 // Zoya 3 in 1 Polish Remover: I love this remover, it’s actually good for your nails and takes off everything including glitter so easy.
2 // Formula X Top Coat: This top coat is super shiny and dries quickly. It keeps nails fresh looking longer, and gives them the appearance that they are gel nails.
Whewwww that was a long list of favorites. But that is everything I really loved this whole year. I love trying new products so I’m sure 2015 is going to be filled with all sorts of new products.
If you made it this far here is a picture from the concert…Swoon! :)
