Hey friends!
I know you hear it all the time, but I really cannot believe April is over and it’s May… well tomorrow is May, but holy moly this year is flying! Well you know the saying “April showers bring May flowers”? I sure hope that’s right… it has rained so much in GA during April that I’m so ready to see some beautiful May flowers! Anyways on to the post… if you wanna see what I’ve been loving this month then just keep reading!
Β April Favorites // 2015
1 // Benefit’s Hoola Bronzer: This bronzer to me is the perfect universal color, it’s neutral and not orange and just really adds a nice touch of warmth to your face. It can even be used to contour, but I mainly use it by blending it into the high places on my face like my forehead and cheeks and making my face nice and bronzed. This is a matte bronzer so it has absolutely no shimmer and I love it. I’ve hit pan and that’s pretty big for me! :)
2 // Maybelline Fit Me Matte + Poreless Foundation: I have really been enjoying this foundation lately. It does a good job of keeping my oily skin matte for a while, however not all day (I’m still on the lookout for THAT foundation). I will say it does do a good job of hiding pores and mine are quiet large. It has really great coverage, and a little goes a long way. I think right now the color is a bit off on me, but I would definitely repurchase this in a darker color. I love trying out new foundations so check out the review of another foundation I really love, here!
3 // MAC Matte Blush in Melba: I bought this at the end of March and literally have worn it ALMOST every time I’ve done my makeup. It is a really beautiful peach/pink shade that is so flattering on the skin. It is matte and very pigmented, don’t worry about it looking patchy or too dry because this doesn’t. This is a really great everyday blush that gives your skin a nice glow!
4 // Milani Matte Lipstick in Blissful: Oh my goodness, if you haven’t tried the Milani Matte lipsticks you are totally missing out. These are amazing! First of all I’ve tried many matte lipsticks from all different brands and even though I love them they can all be very drying and harsh on the lips. But not this baby, it is so moisturizing and creamy, but still matte. It’s incredible. And this color is so pretty, it’s pink with purple/mauve undertones. Great for every day wear!
5 // Paula Dorf Eye Brow Powder: I forgot how much I like this stuff until my other brow powder ran out. This works great, is super easy to apply, and stays put all day long. It is very natural looking, so don’t be afraid of Sharpie eye brows! Give this a try, you will love it!
6 // Hot Tools Tapered Curling Wand:Β I went through a bad hair cut where my hair wouldn’t even work with a curling iron, but as soon as it started growing out I started using this one a lot more. It works so well that I can curl my hair one day, sleep on it and my curls still look pretty much the same the next day. It gets really hot, so it doesn’t take very long to go around your whole head. If you are in the market for a curling wand, definitely try this one.
So that is everything I have been loving all April long. I would love to know what you’ve been loving!
