It’s the middle of the month and that means I just got my April IPSY bag!!! I was absolutely impressed with everything I got this month, which is great because last month was kind of so so! Continue reading to see exactly what I got with swatches.
What is IPSY!? (if you already know skip this) IPSY is a $10 a month subscription program. You get 4-5 samples or full size beauty products every month. You take a beauty quiz once you sign up determining which items you will get each month, and if you hate an item you receive tell them, and you won’t get it anymore. It’s so easy and fun! Plus you can rack up points to get extra goodies! :) Sign up here if you want to get great items each month!
Onto the goodies…
First of all, the bag itself is super cute and taller than the other bags, so you can fit more things into it. I love to use these bags in my purse, for loose items like hand sanitizer, and bobby pins, etc. They totally come in handy.
Cailyn Tinted Lip Balm in Apple Pink | I’ve tried this a couple times already and I really like it. To be a tinted lip balm the color is really opaque which I like. It’s a nice every day color you can wear to work. It feels creamy on the lips but dries to a matte finish. The packaging is a little odd, and isn’t the best for travel but it works. It comes with a built in lip brush, but if I’m in a hurry I would just rather use my fingers. | Receive 20% off any purchase plus a free gift by entering code IPSYGIFT at checkout, click here. | $19
Dr. Brandt Microdermabrasion Skin Exfoliant | I literally just used this! It’s a creamy white cleanser with very small exfoliating beads in it. A little goes a long way, especially when you start with a damp face and start rubbing this on your face in circular motions it starts to multiply and really get into your pores for a deep cleanse. Afterwards it made my face really soft, and it smells like those old school lemon drops you can get at the gas station. Nice and clean. I can’t really tell how this effects my skin long term, but from first use I really liked it. | Receive 20% off microdermabrasion with code MICRO20 at check out, click here. | Full Size $78
Elizabeth Mott’s Pop Goes the Shadow in Champagne | This is a really pretty neutral eye shadow that can go with so many other colors or be worn alone. I wore this a couple days ago in the inner corner of my eyes and it really gave them a pop! This can also be worn as a face highlight because it is in a nice champagne color. If you use it on your face use it in places like your cheekbones or the bridge of your nose. I do love this color, but I am going to give it to my mom because I have several palettes that have really similar colors, and to me I will use something much more if it’s in a palette with other colors than on its own. | Receive 50% off any purchase, use code IPSYPOP at checkout, click here.| $12.99
Urban Decay 24/7 Velvet Glide on Pencil in Black Velvet | I tried this a couple days ago and it worked great! This consistency is different than their other formula, which I like better. This has a matte finish, and in my opinion lasts longer. The color is so black and creamy and goes on completely smooth. | Receive a FREE gift with any purchase of $35 or more with code UDIPSY at checkout, click here .| Full Size $20
Demeter Jasmine Roll on Perfume Oil | To be honest at first glance of this and seeing the scent was Jasmine, I knew I wouldn’t like it. I opened it up and smelled it out of the bottle and it was decent, not my favorite. But when I actually tried it on, I was in love! It smells much better on the skin. It’s very spring time to me, like fresh flowers are blooming. I love it! I was curious to find out the difference between perfume and perfume oil. After some research I found out perfume oil lasts way longer on your skin, it last longer in the bottle, doesn’t have alcohol, and is much safer for you. Everyone probably won’t like the scent of this, but if you like floral scents, you will love this! | Receive 20% off any purchase with code 20ipsydfl at checkout, click here. | $10
So that is everything I got in my IPSY bag this month! I love everything! It was definitely a great bag this month full of really good products, some of which I’ve heard of before and other ones that are totally new to me. The value of this bag if everything was full sized is $140! Dang girl that’s a lot! So glad I’m able to test out these products before buying them full size.
I hope you enjoy the coupon codes I gave you for each item, these are given out on the website after you receive your monthly bag. Sign up here to get your own IPSY Bag.
Do you get IPSY? What did you get this month?

What a great bag of samples! I usually only put on a tinted moisturizer and a touch of gloss, so receiving samples every month would be great for the times I want to doll up a little!
Absolutely! That’s the perfect thing for that! Plus if you don’t use the products very often they will last much longer! :)

This ispy bag sounds great, same i’m in the UK otherwise I would have ordered myself one
Awww hopefully they will eventually go international so you can get one too! :)
Bummer I can’t sign up outside the US but it’s still a GREAT idea, and it’s nice to hear about the products, some of which might be available over here. I’m especially interested in the microdermabrasion exfoliant.
I’d looooooooooove to try the Jasmine Roll on Perfume Oil!!
First – I like the scent, and second – I usually put some baby-oil before using perfume (it does make the scent stay longer). so it should be perfect for me :)

This is a really interesting idea. I’ve never heard of it before. I’m trying to branch out in what makeup I use, and just in using, makeup so this could be a good option for me. I hate buying something for full price and then ending up never using it. Thanks for the tip.
Yea you should definitely try it out, I’ve found some of my favorite items thru Ipsy! Plus you can cancel anytime! If you do sign up try to use the link provided so I get extra points! :)

Your eyeshaddow is a little different than mine. Mine was a loose powder in a similar color :)
Ooo I bet that’s pretty! Sometimes loose powder eye shadows look even better! :)
