Where in the world has this month gone, let alone SUMMER? Summer is one of my favorite seasons and I can’t believe it’s coming to an end. Who am I kidding though I live in Georgia and it’s pretty hot until October. Anyways enough rambling about my love for summer, let’s get into my August Favorites.
1 // Flamingo by Mac: I have been wearing this lipstick nonstop since I bought it a couple weeks ago. It is such a flattering orangey/coral color. If you are wanting to try the orange lip trend but are scared, this is a great lipstick to try. It’s very smooth and creamy on the lips providing an opaque color. Love it! | $16 (if you don’t want to pay $16, try Coralberry by Revlon, I mentioned it in my July Favorites, it’s just a little darker)
2 // Dove Purely Pampering Body Wash in Pistachio Cream with Magnolia: OH MY GOODNESS!!! If you could smell through this blog you would be in love too!! This smells absolutely AMAZING!! I received it in my Summer Allure Beauty Box, and waited a couple months to use it. And now I’m freaking obsessed. I can’t even describe the scent, just go buy it!! I love it so much that I don’t use it every day because I’m afraid it’s going to run out (duh it’s going to run out, I’m so weird). Besides the scent it feels really great on this skin and the scent lasts all day. | $5.49
3 // First Aid Beauty, Skin Rescue Deep Cleanser: This is a great every day gentle cleanser, perfect for anyone with sensitive skin but it actually gets in there and does a really good job of unclogging pores. It is a red color which is a little different, but the red clay and rosemary help purify the skin. Other ingredients reduce breakouts and reduce the production of oil, so this is a great cleanser for people with combo to oily skin. | $24
4 // Rimmel Scandaleyes Retro Glam Mascara: I received this mascara in my Summer Allure Beauty Box as well and I really like it. The curve of the brush is great for adding volume to your lashes. This also provides a lot of length as well. It doesn’t smudge on me throughout the day and holds a curl. I still love my ELF mascara the best, but I have enjoyed this while I’m using it. The only negative to me is it is a really wet formula mascara, and sometimes it can make a mess, but other than that it’s great. | $5.49
5 // Wet n Wild by Fergie in Desert Festival: This palette just sat in my makeup drawer for a while without ever being used. Finally I pulled it out one day and I’m in love with the orangey/coral shades in it. They give a really nice glow to the eye area. The other colors are good too but I really use this palette for the two orange shades. They are both very wearable, and easy to blend. | $4.79
That is all of my August Favorites. What have been some of your favorite things this month?
