Hey everyone!
I cannot believe it is already time for Back to School shenanigans, my inner child is cringing at the thought of going back, but luckily I am way out of that stage in life and I’m not longer in school. But today I do want to show you a quick makeup look that you can throw on in the morning before heading out the door to school. This can work for any person, not just a student! Keep reading to see the rest!
Back To School Makeup
This makeup is focused mainly on the eyes and lips, but you can play up whatever feature you want. It is still a soft summery look, so it’s easy to do in a short amount of time!
Eyes:
With your finger pat on “In The Spotlight” by Makeup Geek, I cannot get enough of this eye shadow, see more about it in this post. With a Sigma E25 tap your brush into “Bitten” my Makeup Geek (this is a cranberry shade). Start blending this color along the outer corner of the eye up into the crease. Don’t go all the way into the crease, just about half way. I took “Peach Smoothie” from Makeup Geek and blending everything out in the crease.
Add your favorite black eyeliner to the waterline, mine is LO’real Smoldering Liner in Black, you can also add liquid liner, but if you are running late you might want to skip that step. Finish the eyes with your favorite mascara, I’m currently using CoverGirl The Super Sizer Mascara.
Face:
When you are young and in school you probably don’t need a ton of coverage on your face, so I would go for a BB Cream, this one from Garnier works great! Apply this with your fingers to save time. If you have blemishes or under eye circles from staying up late the night before school then conceal those babies. I love using Maybelline Instant Age Rewind for under the eyes, but Maybelline FitMe for any blemishes.
Set your face with a powder, you don’t want your makeup running during gym class…I love using NYX Blotting Powder.
Apply Bronzer if needed, I mean come on you want all your friends thinking you just got from the beach right?! I love this one from NYX as well!
Apply Blush to the apples of the cheeks using the Real Techniques Blush Brush. I love peachy blushes, and this one from NYX (no this isn’t a NYX commercial) is perfect. Blend up towards the temples and you are good to go.
Lips:
I always try to coordinate my lips to my outfit, so as you can see in the pictures of my my lipstick color is definitely found in the top I’m wearing. I wouldn’t buy a lipstick color just for a certain outfit, but just look through your collection of lipstick and lipgloss and find whatever goes with your Back to School outfit. Here I am wearing Wet N Wild What’s Up Doc? and I cannot put it down!
I hope this was a fun post for you, I know it wasn’t a tutorial exactly but still I hope it gave you some inspiration about what makeup look you are going for on your first day back to school, or wherever you may be going, this look can work for you.
Are you or your kids going back to school?
Love it!
Thank you!! :)
So pretty! I love the lipstick you used. I’m so happy to not be going back to school this year! Haha I just graduated last year and definitely don’t miss it.
Thank you!! Haha I know I’m happy about it too!! Although there are some aspects I miss about school, but that’s a very small list! :)
So cute!!! School is starting for me too, and while I’m finished taking classes, I have to teach 2 of them this semester. So I will try out this look, perhaps for my first day of teaching this fall!!!
Thank you!! Aww that’s exciting!! You should definitely try this out!! :)
