These are in no particular order and they are all super great, so try as many as you can.
Coconut Oil can be found at your local health food store, Walmart or your local grocery store. Coconut Oil is a really inexpensive beauty and lifestyle item everyone needs to have on hand.
You can melt your Coconut Oil by sitting the whole jar in a bowl of hot water, or taking out the amount you need and melting it in a pot on the stove.
Coconut Oil: Beauty Uses
1 // A leave in hair mask: Wash your hair as normal, comb hair and slather on a good amount all over your head or just the ends of your hair. I typically do it all over. I always twist my hair up in a bun and leave it. This can sit for 20 minutes up to overnight. Just wash your hair really good when you are ready to wash it out. Your hair will be so soft and shiny.
2 // Just a spoonful of Coconut Oil: Coconut Oil is really good to eat/drink as well. It doesn’t taste the best so mix it in with things you already enjoy eating/drinking. For example mix a tablespoon of CO in with your favorite oatmeal in the morning or a hot cup of tea at night. Digesting CO can help your skin, nails, and hair if used pretty consistently.
3 // Acne Treatment: We always think acne medicine has to have a really strong ingredients in them to work, but try using Coconut Oil instead. Use CO for spot treatment by applying it directly to the blemish for 15 minutes, then rinse. CO has bacteria fighting and anti-inflammatory properties in it, which are perfect for active acne spots.
4 // Shave Cream: Coconut Oil is perfect to use as a shave cream for your legs. The oil gives you a nice clean, close shave preventing nicks and cuts. This also leaves your leaves moisturized.
5 // Makeup Remover: Take a tablespoon of Coconut Oil and rub it between your fingers, start by rubbing your eye makeup off then work to the rest of the face. The oil really works at removing even stubborn waterproof makeup. It doesn’t irritate the eyes like other removers.
6 // Body Scrub: Coconut Oil is the perfect base for a really great body scrub. Completely melt 1 part CO on the stove and pour in 2 parts brown sugar, stir until coated but don’t stir too long or the sugar will melt down and you will lose the exfoliating benefits. Add vanilla or lemon for extra smell goodness and there you go.
7 // Body Moisturizer: Just rub a tablespoon of Coconut Oil all over your body. This is perfect if your skin is really dry because this will just sink right into your thirsty skin. Don’t forget the bottom of your feet too!
8 // Cuticle Softener: Perfect to soften up your cuticles before giving yourself a manicure or at night before bed. The oil breaks down any hard cuticles, making them easier to push back or cut away.
9 // Lip moisturizer: Slather on your lips below applying lipstick or at night before bed for super soft lips. Add sugar like mentioned above and you have the perfect lip scrub.
10 // Preventing Wrinkles: You can use Coconut Oil around your eyes to prevents wrinkles and under eye bags.
There are so many more uses for Coconut Oil than just the ones I mentioned, but these are some of my all time favorites.

This post is so helpful! I am already obsessed with coconut oil, but I’m glad to find more uses for it. I really want to try using it as a hair mask. My hair has been getting pretty dry from straightening it a lot lately.
Aww glad this was helpful! I love using it for a hair mask! Just remember to wash your hair really good, sometimes I wash it two times in a row because if you leave any coconut oil residue then your hair could be pretty oily when you dry it. Let me know what you think after you try it! :)
I absolutely love coconut oil! It is such a staple for me especially with the paleo lifestyle! These are great ideas! Looking forward to trying some of them.
