Hey everyone! Today I am talking to you about another mask that I’ve found maybe a dupe for the GlamGlow Super Mud Clearing Mask… whew that’s a mouth full. Anyways stick around to see exactly what I’m talking about.
Dead Sea Mud Mask Review
Now if you’ve been around for a while, you know I LOVE a good face mask, in fact you can see my Top Face Masks here. So when I was sent this mask to review by Pure and Essential Minerals, of course I got excited to try a new mask, and especially one that comes from the DEAD SEA.
What is it:
“The Dead Sea, situated between Israel and Jordan, is 1400 feet below sea level and the lowest point on the earth’s surface. The healing properties of its mineral-rich mud have been revered for centuries. This facial mask draws out impurities, toxins, and excess oils leaving your skin feeling soft and clean. Dead Sear minerals nourish and restore the skin’s vitality, stimulate and improve blood circulation, resulting in a wonderful glow. Used weekly your skin will look and feel its best.”
If that doesn’t sound good then I don’t know what does!
Price & Where to Buy:
Right now it is $24.77 and can be found on Amazon.
Packaging:
It comes in a 6oz white jar… nothing special. It has clear instructions on the package telling you how to use it, as well as ingredients.
How to Use:
Smooth a medium layer of the mask on the face and upper neck. Leave on for 5-10 minutes. Remove mask with a wet warm wash cloth in a circular motion. Can be used weekly.
Compared to GlamGlow:
I want to take a few minutes and compare this to the GlamGlow SuperMud Clearing Treatment Mask, I have that one and did a review here. It is a really great mask, the two mask have similar properities. They are both made to clean out junk in your pores. Obviously the price point is the biggest difference… GlamGlow is $69 for 1.2oz and Dead Sea is $25 for 6oz. Is the Dead Sea mask just as good, no… but it is pretty darn close, and I would much save that money and use it for something else.
Final Thoughts:
I think it is a really great face mask to add to your collection. It really makes my skin super soft and really cleans out my pores without stripping my face. I will say as soon as I apply it I can feel it start to tingle and really do it’s job, I don’t mind feeling the burn if I know it works. I really like this and I would totally repurchase it.
Would you buy this one instead of splurging on the GlamGlow Mask?
I really enjoy mud masks. I have one like this that sounds super similar. It tingles as well and I LOVE that hot tingling feeling. β₯
Haha I know I love that tingly feeling too, it makes me feel like it’s really working deep into my skin.
I had the same thoughts on this mask versus the Glam Glow version! I have been loving this one from Pure Essentials….well and the bazillion other masks I have (why is it that I always feel like I NEED that new face mask when I am out shopping??)
Yea I really love this one too! And I am the exact same way, I buy way too many face masks, and I don’t know why haha! Have you seen my Top Face Mask post?! That wasn’t even all of them! :/
i have dry skin so i skip clay masks usually (depends on the type of clay) but it has some amazing properties!
Oily skin can be such a pain sometimes, but I guess dry skin can be too! :/
Yes, I totally would purchase this mask before the GlamGlow. While I hear such amazing things about that high-end mud mask…I know of so many other mud masks (like the one you are talking about here!) that do just as well on my skin. And I am like you — I’d prefer to save and use the money on some new makeup ;-)
I have GlamGlow and it is really great, but this one is great too and it’s so much cheaper, and it’s even bigger so it lasts longer! I’m not saying I won’t ever buy GlamGlow again, but this is a really great alternative to it! You should definitely try it out! :)
I’ve been thinking I need to invest in a good face mask ever since I read your top masks list. This one sounds awesome! I’ve heard about the benefits of the Dead Sea Mud before, and so it would be great to give it a try.
Yea definitely try this one out, I really like it! I’ve also heard that about Dead Sea Mud, and in all honesty it just sounds like it would be great for skin haha! :)
