Hey! What are you up to today? I have been working on my taxes which is you know just one of those tasks that no one really enjoys doing, but its gotta be done! Anyways enough of that talk. Today I am talking about the Drunk Elephant / TLC Framboos Glycolic Night Serum, that is a total mouth full, but keep reading to see my honest review.
Drunk Elephant / TLC Framboos Glycolic Night Serum
Skincare is really important to me because I don’t care how expensive or how full coverage your makeup is, it won’t look it’s best if your skin doesn’t look it’s best. So to my skincare is an investment I’m willing to make.
A few days ago I asked on Instagram who would like to see a review on this serum by Drunk Elephant and whole 38 people gave it a like which I assume means yes! If you aren’t following me on Instagram where you at?! It’s fun, shameless plug here >> Follow ME! :)
I’ve been using this since October of last year, so I’ve really had some time to get to know this product and figure out what I really like about it.
First I’m going to tell you what they claim…
What it is.
A 12 percent AHA/BHA night serum that refines and resurfaces skin to reveal a smoother and more radiant complexion. This high-tech gel resurfaces dull skin, lifting dead skin cells away by gently dissolving the glue that holds them to the surface. The results are greater clarity and a smoother, more even-looking complexion.
Breakdown of Ingredients.
To be honest when I first read the name of this serum I had no idea what T.L.C Framboos was, my curious mind did some more research and figured out Drunk Elephant made this “ingredient”, they trademarked it and all. Upon my research I found it is a AHA Blend 12%, which exfoliates dead skin cells, resurfacing dull and uneven skin for smooth bright and even skin. Sounds like a power punch of an ingredient.
Along with the T.L.C Framboos this serum has,
- Salicylic Acid (BHA) 1%: Loosens sebum to unclog pores while soothing skin.
- Raspberry Fruit Extract: Rehydrates and soothes damaged skin.
- Sodium Hyaluronate Crosspolymer: Hydrates and reduces the appearance of fine lines and wrinkles, while promoting firmness.
Pretty amazing stuff in this one bottle.
Price & Where to Buy.
The price of this serum is hefty, but if you value your skin and really desire to take care of it then it’s worth it. The 1 oz is $90 and the 1.69 oz is $134. You can buy them at Sephora or on Amazon with Prime!
Packaging.
I know packaging doesn’t really matter to everyone, but if I have a hard time using a product because of the packaging I won’t go back to it, so I do like to let you guys know my thoughts on this.
The packaging here is super cool, very clean white base and the lids of all Drunk Elephant products are different colors. It makes an impression. The coolest and hardest to explain part is the lid, you twist it for the top nozzle to pop up, when it is closed it’s down. Told you that was hard to explain. Just go play with the packaging at Sephora next time you are there! :)
How to Use.
Since this is a night serum I use this after I wash all my make up off and cleanse my skin. If I tone my skin that night, this comes after toning. I use about one pump, sometimes a little less. It is a clear serum, I work it into my fingers and apply to my face focusing the majority of the product on places that have the most texture, fine lines, uneven skin. Whatever is left on my fingers goes to the rest of my face.
It is a slippery serum so a little goes a long way.
Final Thoughts.
I have really enjoyed using this serum. The only compliant, if it even is one is, when I put it on at night sometimes it absorbs really quickly and other nights it feels a little oily, maybe it depends on what I am using before that determine how it soaks into the skin. When it soaks into my skin the most it makes my skin so soft when I wake up in the morning. For the most part I do really think it has helped with some of my texture, but there is still a little around my nose and cheek area, those may just be permanent fixtures on my face haha. I do feel like this serum makes a difference in the total health of my skin. It looks good and feels great. I would absolutely purchase this again. It is very easy, not fussy or gimmicky. It does what it says it will do. I highly recommend giving this a shot, or try a sample to see what you think. Remember skincare is very important! :)
