Happy Friday!!
I hope you’ve had a great week! It snowed here on Wednesday night and left the most beautiful white blanket. I love having at least one good snow, then I’m ready for Spring. Today I’m showing you what I’ve been loving all February long, (can you believe February is almost over?) Keep reading to see them!
February Favorites // 2015
So since it snowed I knew I wanted to use the snow as my background for these pictures…doesn’t snow just make the best background?! So cute right?! :)
Body.
L’Occitane Hand Cream in Rose Heart: I had always heard these hand creams are amazing, so I finally bought one and man are they great. This one has 20% more shea than the regular, and it moisturizers so well, doesn’t leave your hands greasy at all. Also smells amazing!! | $12
Skincare.
1 // BWC Facial Cleanser: I got this in an IPSY bag and have really been enjoying it. It works great for anyone with sensitive skin, but it really cleanses the skin and does it’s job. It smells really good. It starts out as a gel cleanser, and lathers really nice into a cream. | Full Size $11.95
2 // Burt’s Bees Brightening Even Tone Moisturizing Cream: I got this in my Allure box a long time ago and didn’t use it for a little while because I was using something else. I still rotate this with a different moisturizer every other week, but the weeks I use this my face feels really nice and soft, plus it hydrates my face without making it oily at all. However, I don’t love the smell, too earthy. | $20
3 // Josie Maran Light Argan Oil: This stuff is amazing! It can be used on your face, cuticles, hair, body… it’s just great. My favorite place to use this is on my face. Since I have oily skin the light version works the best for me. I absolutely love mixing it with the moisturizer listed about, there is just something about mixing these two that are so right. My face just soaks this stuff up. Highly Recommended. | Mini $16
Makeup.
Sonia Kashuk Eye on Neutral Matte Eye Shadow Palette: I’m obsessed with this palette. I had seen it forever, but just never bought it until recently. I don’t want to give too much away because I do plan on doing a full post with swatches on this palette soon, but it’s amazing. | $20
Hair Care.
Not Your Mother’s Way To Grow Leave-in Conditioner: So if you don’t know, I recently got a hair cut that wasn’t exactly what I asked for, therefore now I’m having to grow it out. I came across this little baby and I love it. I’m not 100% sure it’s making my hair longer, but it does make my hair feel healthier and it smells so so so good. It works great at detangling my hair too! | $8
Candle.
Marshmallow Fireside by Bath and Body Works: I have been burning this candle a lot lately, especially during all of our winter weather. It’s the perfect candle to make you feel warm and cozy. It’s the mix between woodsy smells of firewood burning and the sweetness of marshmallows… so good. | $22.50
So those are the things I’ve been loving all throughout February. What have been some of your favorite things this month? Leave it in the comments below! :)
Let’s see what I was loving this time last year!
What an AWESOME idea to use snow as your backdrop for your pictures. They turned out fabulous, by the way :-)
Glad to hear that you like the Sonia Kashuk eyeshadow palette so much — I’ve heard Tati on GlamLifeGuru rave about it for so long, but I’ve just never gotten around to purchasing it. $20 is, in my opinion, awful close to a high-end brand. Which I guess SK is more high-end-ish. :-)
Okay, so now I’m just rambling. lol But all that to say, I really do need to take the plunge and try this palette out. I think I’m just afraid I won’t use it because I already have several neutral palettes that I love.
As for my favorites….I just posted mine for the month of February on my blog, but overall the product I LOVED the most this past month was liquid lipsticks. There are several brands I like, but I am just in a longwear lipstick kick recently and that’s all I’ve been grabbing for (….and maybe it has something to do with those being the only kind of lipsticks my husband is okay with kissing me ;-). Have you tried Anastasia’s new liquid lipsticks?? Do you like matte, longwear lipsticks?
Thank you, the snow did make the perfect background. I don’t want anymore snow this year so I’ll just have to find another brilliant background haha!
Yea I think I actually heard her talking about to SK palette too, and every time I would see it in Target I would talk myself out of it because of the price tag! SK is probably middle of the ground as far as high end or not, but it’s in Target which is considered drugstore so it was hard for me to pay $20 on makeup there.
What I do to make sure I use it enough is I use it EVERY Monday, I guess cause Monday is back to work day and I just don’t want to think hard about my makeup, I just want to use neutral colors and move on and this is great for that!
And matte long wear lipsticks are my absolute favorite ever! I HAVE to get one from Anastasia very soon, I’ve a ready been eyeing some colors!! :)
my favorite candle of ALL TIME. i have them everywhere in my house.
Haha I know right?! It’s amazing! Sweet and musky! :)
I am super interested in trying out that palette – love the colors. For lazy days I have been using Not Your Mother’s Beach Babe sea salt spray and it’s worked to great for me. I have found I only need about 5-7 sprays and if I put more in, it gets snarly easily. It smells fantastic! For my leave-in product I use It’s A Ten and it’s been helping my hair grow so much – I’ve been using it for about a year now and am completely in love. Have you ever tried that out?

Yea the palette is really great! I am definitely going to do a more in depth review! Yessss I love the Not Your Mother’s Beach Babe Spray, it’s great! I use it all the time and I talked about it in my “How to Get Beachy Hair” post! :)
I haven’t actually tried It’s A Ten before, I think because the price tag scares me off, I don’t know why but I don’t like to spend a ton on hair products, but I have only heard great things so I probably should check it out!
I highly recommend It’s A Ten – so worth the money. Luckily for me, my future mother-in-law is a hairdresser so I get everything at a discounted price.
You lucky duck! :)
I definitely will get it next time I’m buying hair stuff!
Sonia Kashuk seriously needs to make her way over to South Africa! Lovely bunch of favourites you have there!

Aww yea, Sonia Kashuk has some really great stuff, sorry you can’t get in SA! :(
I can’t wait to read more about the pallet! I’m interested to know the matte vs shimmer ratio. I used to like shimmer, but now I like matte. I’ve almost used up a Too Faced pallet that has one row of matte and two rows of shimmer from 2011! I’m considering buying it again in the matte version, but I have time to decide. :)
Oh yea that palette is amazing! I like matte shades a lot for blending or to darken up the outer eye area. The shimmer palette by Sonia Kashuk looks great too! Sometimes mattes can be chalky or dry but not these babies! Definitely come back for my more in depth review!
So, I was thinking about this post (again) because I was driving by Ulta and it took self control not to go in… anyway, I have a question about the leave in conditioner. I think you’ve mentioned that you have thin hair, too. I’m also growing my hair out. I use conditioner, but since I cut it, I don’t use any extra leave in conditioners. When my hair was long, I had some frizz, but not anymore. Do you use it for frizz, or will it help with my hair getting longer? :) Aside from those trims that kill me inside.
Haha that happens to me and Ulta all the time! I don’t have naturally thin hair, my hair stylist thinned it out without me asking her too and she gave me a bad hair cut so I’ve been trying to grow it back out! I use it to detangle my hair out of the shower, plus it overall makes your hair healthier which in turn will make it grow! I hope that answers your question! Growing hair out can really test someone’s patience :)
Oh I always see that Sonia Kashuk palette at Target and always think: but $20? But I think I must give this a shot now! You make the snow sound so romantic! ;-) I really love the Josie Maran Argan oil as well but think it is way overpriced- I have tried cheaper Argan oils and they work the same! ;-) I also need to try something from BWC as (I don´t know if you have noticed) I buy only cruelty free products. Enjoyed your faves a lot Anna! Have a wonderful weekend!
Oh girl I was the same way with the Sonia Kashuk palette, I thought this is $20 at TARGET I shouldn’t be paying that much!! But I kept hearing great things about it so I just bit the bullet and bought it and I’m glad I did. I will definitely do a review on it later if you want to wait on buying it so you can see my swatches. Yea I would agree that the Josie Maran Argan Oil is overpriced, that’s why I could only come to terms with buying the tiny size and that was still $16. When I use it all up I will probably try to find a cheaper alternative. Yea definitely try something from BWC, I looked through their website last night and they have tons of stuff. Thanks girly, have a great weekend too! :)
I like Zenagen for hair growth. I have thyroid issues so I tried so many products that never worked for me.
I’ve never heard of that…right now I’m just trying shampoos and this spray, and being patient although it is hard sometimes. Thanks for the suggestion though, I may look into that! :)
It is a shampoo. evolve and revolve. One is for growth and the other for thickening the hair. I use both products. Jyst FYI. I think I tried every product for hair growth. I share how to use it in my Jan. Beauty Secrets post if you decide to try it later.
Oh yea I will definitely hop over and check that out, sounds very interesting!
