Happy Thursday everyone!!
I have really been enjoying the IT Cosmetics line and when I heard MakeupbyTiffanyD talk about this and demo it on YouTube, I knew I had to get it. It made her lashes look incredible! Lashes are one of the most important parts of makeup in my opinion. You can seriously throw on a couple coats of mascara and a lipstick/gloss and be out the door. Keep reading to see my review and pictures on the IT Cosmetics Tightline Mascara.
What it is.
“It’s a multi-tasking beauty must-have that uses an ultra-skinny wand, allowing you to start coating your lashes at their actual root, so you coat black along your entire lash length (unlike most mascara brushes that are too large to get to the root, leaving the first 1/3 of your lash roots bare!). This gives you ultimate length and volume. But the best part is, if you have sparse or missing lashes, the Tightline brush lays down black pigment along your entire lash line, filling in spare spots, giving you a full beautiful lash line and the look of an eyeliner!”
The ingredients in this mascara are filled with so many great things that it is also a lash enhancing serum as well. So you aren’t only making your lashes look bomb the day of but helping them grow overtime too! That’s a win win my friends! :)
The Product.
It really has the tiniest little wand. It is almost like if a mascara and a liquid eyeliner had a baby this is what it would be. Like the description above, the brush is so small that it gets between lashes creating a black line in your tightline. (A tightline is the area of skin under your top lid below your lash line.)

This can be used as just a primer before your favorite mascara or alone. It is really great at providing volume and length but for me personally it isn’t as black as I would want it, so I use my favorite mascara on top. It works perfectly with other mascaras without making it dry, brittle, or clumpy. Also if you have sensitive eyes, no worries it won’t hurt them. My eyes seriously water if there is a strong breeze in another state, and this doesn’t bother me at all.
Before.

I have kind of hooded eyelids so it is kind of hard to tell in a picture what this actually does. But you just have to take my word for it, It really makes a line just like I’m wearing eyeliner on the top… but I’m not. Plus look at that length!
After.

Because it creates the tightline effect it makes lashes look so much more full than before. Also great for the bottom lashes too! (It’s hard to tell a big difference because I have hooded eyes)
This tightline mascara is $24 at Ulta. I think that is a decent price. Could be a little cheaper because I think it does dry out a little faster than a typical mascara. I also don’t use this every time I do my makeup because it’s not your typical wand so you have to actually be a little more careful than normal.
Overall Verdict.
Would I repurchase this again? Yes, but probably not as soon as I run out. I really like the way it turns out when I use it, but sometimes it can be a hassle to use. I think everyone should try it at least once because it can do wonders on even your smallest lashes!
(The fingernails I’m rocking in this post were sent to me in my Influenster Box, french isn’t really my style, but hey it was free!)
What is the one item of makeup you have to put on to feel comfortable?
This is a really interesting looking product. I definitely would like to try this but IT cosmetics products are so hard to get here in Australia. Generally, the customs rules don’t allow for cosmetics to get shipped here from Amazon either but maybe I could try Ebay. Thanks for your review! xx

Aww man that’s such a bummer! Hopefully you can find it on Ebay. If not maybe there is something similar to it in Australia! :)
I NEED eyeliner to feel comfortable. I don’t feel like myself unless I have a cat eye ; )
I love a good cat eye!! This definitely isn’t for that but I think IT Cosmetics does make a liquid eyeliner! I’m really digging their products!
I agree, mascara is a must-have! I have been searching for the perfect one so I need to give this one a try! I just got a sample of the Bare Minerals mascara when I bought makeup at Ulta the other day and it seems pretty amazing so far! The wand is really different and it doesn’t smudge at all.
That sounds awesome, I may have to try that one next! I will say this is a really great primer for the lashes too, but can totally be worn alone! My personal fave is probably the cheapest mascara on the market. I did a post about it here, it was one of my first posts so just bypass any weirdness! :)
Wow, those lashes are super long! Im always tryingto find a great mascara. Coming from SITS!
Thank you so much for stopping by! And thanks for the compliment! I am always looking for the perfect mascara too because like I said in my post lashes are important to me, so I’m always trying new mascaras… it’s fun though! :)
I usually just use liner to tightline but I will admit that I usually will neglect my lower lashes where mascara is concerned because most of the brushes are so big that I tend to miss somewhere & end up having to clean up which irks me. The size of the brush might actually allow me to get mascara exactly where it should be on the bottom lash line. I’d never heard of this product but will surely be on the look out for it or the one that Allison mentioned.
Yea you are right most of the mascara brushes are way too big to do bottom lashes, but this is perfect! You could also totally forget about the tightlining aspect of this mascara since you can do it with eyeliner and just use this for a primer and bottom lashes. It is a really really good primer because it isn’t white first of all so you aren’t having to cover up the white places, but it lengthens and volumizes… that’s all we want right? haha :)
I was curious about this product. Unfortunately, I couldn’t see a tightline on your eyes from the photo but it sure did a great job lengthening, defining and curling your lashes. TF Lash Gasm has a smaller (but not that small) brush head that allows me to get some tightlining benefits from the mascara, but I don’t find tightlining that difficult so I just do it. Nevertheless, next IT sale, I might try this out! Nice review.
Yea that’s why I said I have hooded lids and it was kind of hard to get a good picture of the tightline, but it actually does work I’ve used it many times, and I can tell a difference. I can tightline really easy as well but some people can’t so this would be a great product for them! Thanks for stopping by!
