Hey friends!
Well the first month of the year has come and gone. Have you gotten snow where you live? We haven’t gotten any but we’ve gotten super cold weather. If it’s going to be this cold it should at least snow…am I right?!? Today is my mom’s birthday so we are going to have a girls day! I have some beauty favorites that I loved all month long, so keep reading to see them!
January Favorites
Makeup.

1 // Maybelline Lash Sensational: I’ve really been enjoying this mascara a lot. I think it does a great job of lengthening and the more you build it the better volume it gives too. The only down fall is this does smudges under the lower lash line just a little bit, so you kind of have to check in the mirror a few times during the day.
2 // MAC Paint Pot in Painterly: The is one of my favorite eye shadow primers ever. It is the perfect matte nude color for my skin. These go on so smooth covering up any veins or redness before putting eye shadow on. This helps with preventing your eye shadow from creasing too. You should definitely try one (they come in all kinds of colors).
3 // Milani Matte Lipstick in Glam: Oh. My. Goodness I can’t even tell you how OBSESSED I am with this lipstick…well maybe I should tell you cause you need this in your life. I have been into purple lips so much lately and this is the perfect purple. The formula of these lipsticks are perfect, they are creamy and super pigmented. They are matte which is my fave, but not drying at all. I get so many compliments every time I wear this color. I’m wearing it in the picture below! :)
Skincare.
1 // Garnier Nourishing Cleansing Oil: I bought this a while back and didn’t use it consistently until I ran out of my makeup remover wipes, then I just made myself use this before I bought anymore wipes. This cleansing oil takes off your makeup and cleanses the skin while nourishing it. This is perfect to use this time of year when the air is a lot more dry, causing your skin to get dry. This is really nourishing. I will say for someone that wears a lot of makeup like myself, it is SUPER messy, but it literally melts off your makeup.
2 // Neutrogena Hydro Boost Water Gel: Oh man I’m IN LOVE with this stuff!! It is so soft on the skin and it truly captures moisture, leaving your skin healthy and moisturized. It smells so fresh and clean. You gotta try this, it’s great for this time of year too.
3 // Michael Todd Milk + Honey Firming Mask: This mask feels so luxurious because it’s really creamy and goes on the skin perfectly. It smells subtly like Milk and Honey and it’s just really relaxing. I love using this in the cold weather months because it is so moisturizing and hydrating.
Body.
1 // Bath and Body Works 60 second Manicure Hand Scrub: Oh geez this is so so good. I almost forgot about this cause I stuffed it into a drawer in my bathroom and only used it when I randomly thought about it. So then I moved it into my shower and I use it at least once a week, usually the same day I paint my nails. This smells amazing, and lathers up so good. It is pretty abrasive but I love that.
Those were my beauty favorites for January. A lot of skincare, but when it’s cold out I feel like my skin needs even more attention than normal.
Tell me what your favorites are in the comments below! :)
I have to go get that lipstick! I am going to try to rock it, but we will see! :P
I bet it will look amazing on you! :)
I’m such a beauty product junkie…all of this stuff looks great! Especially the hand scrub! I’ve also been really curious about the cleansing oils, but am a little nervous to try.

Thank you!! Yea definitely try the hand scrub, it’s so so nice! Yea cleansing oils are typically something I would gravitate towards because I have oily skin, but this one hasn’t caused my skin to be any oilier than normal, but it really just melts the makeup away. A little messy but it does its job!
That purple lipstick looks AMAZING on you! Dang! I wish I could pull of vibrant lip colors so well!
And glad to hear you like the new Neutrogena moisturizer. I will definitely get it to replace my current night time moisturizer when it runs out.
Thank you so much girl!! You should totally try it! You may be surprised at how much you like vibrant colors on you! Especially cause you have dark hair! :)
And yes that Neutrogena moisturizer is just so good, you definitely need to give it a go when you run out of yours!
I’ll have to give the hand scrub a go! I saw that at B&BW the other day. Thanks for the favorites! :)
You should definitely try it! It’s like a nice little luxury to add to your routine! :)
