Another month has flown by! So last month I was saying I couldn’t wait for the cold weather to finally leave. Well I must have jinxed it because the weather in March has definitely thrown a temper tantrum! It has been cold, super nice, then windy, then rainy the next day. I am so so so ready for warm Spring time weather! So bring on April.
Here are my favorite things I’ve been using during March!
Hair.
Daddy-O Shampoo for Lush is absolutely perfect for blondes! I have blonde hair and overtime my hair gets a little brassy from shampoos/conditioners you use. Using a purple shampoo cancels out any orange or yellow tones in the hair giving it a more fresh, revived color. I have tried many different kinds of purple shampoo but was always hesitant to try a Lush shampoo, until one day I finally caved and I am so glad I did. This shampoo has helped completely remove brassy tones in my hair, but it also makes my hair so soft and shiny. Side note… this kind of shampoo isn’t just for blondes, anyone can use it.
I’ve always heard the darker purple the shampoo the better it works. This is really dark, probably the darkest purple shampoo I’ve ever had. Maybe that’s why it works so well. you can buy this at Lush. In stores or online.
Face.
It took me a while to get on board with this primer. I’ve tried several different primers and I always just thought this one had nothing to offer and it was more expensive, so it sat in my makeup bag for months without being touched. When I was running low on my then primer, I tried this one out. The first few times I tried it, I wasn’t impressed and didn’t really understand the hype. One day it hit me like a ton of bricks, my pores didn’t appear as big, because of THIS primer. So after that I started using it every day and really love it. It is skin color, goes on matte, and blurs the appearance of pores. This can be purchased at Ulta or Sephora.
Eyes.
This may just be my holy grail eyeliner, and that is saying A LOT! This is the L’Oreal Voluminous Smoldering Eyeliner in Black. I think I have used this since it came out and I haven’t been able to use anything since. I love how creamy it is, while also being very black. Because the pencil is so chubby it makes the eyeliner like smoky which I love. I mostly use this for my waterline and it stays on the entire day with absolutely no smudging or that weird inner corner gunk. The actual product last a long time as well, The first one I bought lasted over a year. This can be found at any drugstore.
Don’t get me wrong, I love every color in my Urban Decay Naked 3 palette. But Trick has to be my favorite. When I don’t really want to think about my makeup, or I’m in a hurry this is the perfect just throw it on the lid color. It is a rose gold shimmery shade, that I think would look great on any skin tone. It is very smooth and blends out great! I don’t think this color is for individual sale but it does come in the UD Naked 3 palette. Click here to see my full review on the palette.
So there you have it! My March Favorites! I know I didn’t have many this month, but these were the products I just kept gravitating towards all month long!
What were your favorites this month? Leave it in the comments below! :)
I should try that shampoo. I have naturally blonde hair and hard water, wonder if it would help. We use a purple shampoo on our light-colored horses to get their coats really bright, but never thought to use it on my own hair!
Absolutely! I have hard water too and that is one of the things that makes my hair brassy! You should definitely give it a try! :)
