Hey Everyone!! Has it been really hot where you live this summer? I swear there hasn’t been a day that it didn’t reach 90 degrees. In heat like that sometimes you just need a foundation that will stay put throughout the day. Today I am going to review the Maybelline Super Stay Foundation. Keep reading if you want to know more about this.
Maybelline Super Stay Foundation Review
What They Say:
It’s a Do-it-all, through-it-all makeup, 24-hour wear, no transfer, medium coverage.
Why You’ll Love it:
- Stays comfortable and looks naturally flawless all day
- Micro-Flex formula provides 24-hour wear and no transfer
- Withstands heat, sweat and humidity
- Oil-free, dermatologist-tested, fragrance-free
- Suitable for all skin types
Packaging and Where to Buy:
This foundation like others comes in a glass bottle, but unfortunately it doesn’t have a pump. With the consistency of this foundation there have been many times where I have had to really shake the bottle upside down to get it to come out… and that was when I first opened it. But that isn’t a deal breaker to me. It comes in 8 shades.
You can buy this at most drugstores like CVS and Walgreens, and also online at Drugstore.com
How To Apply:
I have been using this for quiet a while now so I have applied it with different things. A Beauty Blender, the Sigma F80, and the Morphe M439 (more on this brush later). And they all work with this foundation amazingly well.
Here is how the foundation looks on me, I wear Pure Beige. I think it looks pretty flawless, it covers well, blends nicely, and does it’s job. (please excuse the cup in the background haha).
Final Thoughts:
If you are looking for a foundation that is going to stay put throughout the day this is a great option for you. I have super oily skin and this holds up for the majority of a work day, however I do still get pretty oily and will have to blot my face if I’m going out later that night. But even when my oil skin is coming through it almost makes the foundation have a youthful glow. My blush still stays put after many hours, and that to me is a good sign of a great foundation. I definitely think you should give this a try.
Have you tried this foundation?
i have been on a foundation kick these past few months but haven’t tried this one yet! loved hearing your thoughts. i am over thie GA heat and humidity like you are!
You should definitely try it, especially with this crazy heat!! When is it going to ever end!?! haha! :)
Ok you look totally beautiful. I’ve only tried Loreal, but really want to try this, thanks!
Aww thank you so much girl!! You should definitely try this one out, I think you might like it!!
Yes, love that you posted this! This was on the list of foundations I was looking to check out!
Aww perfect timing!! Definitely give it a try and see what you think!! I’d love to hear your thoughts too! :)
This stuff sounds awesome! I definitely have a hard time getting my makeup to last through a summer day here in Florida. It’s just so hot! Whenever I do my makeup for a special event (like when I was in my brother’s wedding) I will do a liquid foundation like this and then do my Bare Minerals powder routine on top. It looks great and lasts wayyy longer!
Oh I know, it is so hot in Georgia too, I’m really for the humidity to go away!! That sounds like a great way of helping your makeup last longer, that’s a great tip!! :)
Hey Girl! Thanks for sharing about this! Did you have to use any primer with it to get it to stay? I am very interested in this since I have oily skin and will be moving to an even more humid and hot climate very soon!
You are so welcome!! I did use a primer, but I use a primer with every foundation because I have pretty large pores and the primers I use cover that up pretty well. I didn’t do a test to see if it could be worn without a primer. Definitely give this a try, I think you might like it, especially if you are moving somewhere with a lot of humidity. Good luck! :)
