Hey friends!
I hope you had a great Christmas! I cannot believe 2015 is basically over… can you?! A lot has happened this year and I’ve used A LOT of beauty products through it all. Today I am sharing with you My Top 15 Beauty Products of 2015. Keep reading to see everything I’ve loved all year long!
My Top 15 Beauty Products of 2015
So to pick 15 products from a full year was actually pretty hard… I love so many things, but I did want to narrow it down somehow or we would be here all day! So without further ado… here we go!
Makeup.
From left to right…
1 // MAC Lipstick in Whirl: Oh my goodness this lipstick is insane! I am basically obsessed with it and could possibly wear it everyday. It is a rich warm brown with orange undertones. It looks beautiful on a lot of skin tones and it goes with tons of different makeup looks. It’s matte and it’s perfect. I highly recommend this to everyone!
2 // Givenchy Matte Loose Powder: This powder is expensive and fancy dancy, but so worth the money. It’s absolutely stunning, it makes your face look incredibly smooth, and it smells so good. I did a full review on this powder here.
3 // Makeup Geek Foiled Shadow in “In the Spotlight”: This is the perfect shadow to literally swipe on your eyes, add a bit of mascara and you are out the door. It has the most gorgeous sheen to it making it look different colors when your eyes move a certain way. It’s neutral but it has some spunk to it, so it can be worn anywhere with anything. Stunning!
4 // Morphe M439 Foundation Brush: I honestly feel like I don’t know how my makeup ever looked good before this brush. It is amazing. It’s soft, but dense, it blends foundation out to perfection. I did a full review on this brush here.
5 // Urban Decay AfterGlow 8-Hour Blush in Bittersweet: Okay okay I know what you are thinking… that it’s a super purple blush meant for clowns only right?! Well yes it does look intense, but it’s not. It’s a beautiful blush that doesn’t look scary or too purple on the cheeks when blended out. It’s a nice cool toned blush that looks great paired with a nice warm bronzer. I wear this A LOT and love it!
6 // Paula Dorf 2 in 1 Brow Powder in Neutral: I really enjoy using this brow powder. It is so easy to use and apply. It goes on smooth and not patchy and it really fills in the brows. I use this everyday and absolutely love it. I highly recommend this to anyone!
Swatches are: Whirl Lipstick, UD Blush in Bittersweet (yes it still looks intense here, but only because I packed on the color for picture purposes), and Makeup Geek In the Spotlight.
Skincare.
7 // Makeup Eraser: Ever since I bought this I have used it nonstop. It takes off makeup… and I mean heavy duty makeup so easy, without using harsh chemicals or anything bad for your skin. I honestly don’t know how it works, but it does and it’s amazing. Full review here.
8 // Ancient Orient Rice Enzyme Exfoliator: This is a really unique face exfoliator that starts as a powder and when mixed with water turns in to a nice scrub that is gentle for sensitive skin people but also works really well at removing dead skin. I feel like this is something you could find in a high end salon, because of the luxurious feel and quality, but it’s affordable. It’s great! Full Review here.
9 // Murad Oil Control Mattifier with SPF: I feel like this is a product I’ve been looking for for a long time. It is a moisturizer with SPF, that will actually mattify your skin as well. It’s hard to find anything like this. Other daytime moisturizers I would use would leave me oily within 30 minutes, especially any with SPF. But this little baby is so good. This is my second bottle, and that’s saying a lot.
10 // Solvaderm Ace- Ferulic Skin Damage Restoration & Photo Aging Defense Serum: Wooo that’s a mouthful, but this serum works wonders. I only use it at night right after I wash my face, and it just sinks into the skin so beautifully. It is moisturizing, but when I wake up in the morning my face doesn’t feel oily, but it feels healthy. I have noticed a big difference in my pores and any hyper pigmentation on my face that I had. I definitely recommend this. Full review here.
Haircare.
11 // Biolage Color Last Shampoo: This shampoo makes my hair so soft and clean all while protecting my color treated hair. And the smell is absolutely delicious. If you get the litter size, make sure you get a pump… it makes it so much easier.
12 // Aloxxi Conditioning Detangler: I barely used a detangler until this year when every time I would try to comb my hair in the shower I would almost cry at how tangled it was (even after using conditioner). I knew I had to do something different so I started using this and I love it. It smells great, doesn’t add any extra weight to oil to my hair, and it does it;s job. My hair combs right through with this detangler.
13 // Batiste Dry Shampoo: I have tried so many dry shampoos and I’ve pretty much come up with the verdict that I don’t like any of them as well as Batiste. There is just something about Batiste, it actually dries up oil, and gives you body. Just try it, you will love Batiste too! Check out, How to: Use Dry Shampoo.
Body:
14 // Heel Genius by Soap & Glory: If you have rough heels. LOOK NO FURTHER! This foot cream is incredible. My heels get really rough and cracked (gross I know), and Soap & Glory is one of my favorite body products so when I realized they had a heel cream I had to try it. The bottle says “Better than a pedicure!”. So I thought if my feet can feel just as good as when I get a pedicure this stuff will be amazing. Well let me just tell you, it is just as good. So much so that if you stop using it for say a week, you will see how bad your feet get again. You need this!
15 // L’occitane Hand Cream: I can’t remember the exact scent of this but it’s not even the scent I care about, it’s how this makes my hands feel. My hands get dry from washing too much, or just from changes in the weather. This has 20% Shea Butter in it leaving your hands so moisturized, but not greasy. It absorbs into the skin. Perfect for your purse.
So that is everything I have loved in the year of 2015. If you made it down to the bottom here, thanks for sticking with me. Oh yes for me too! This year is the first time I’ve used Biolage and I love it!! I need to get my hands on the conditioner, but last time I looked it was sold out!
Thanks for sharing your fav products! There are some pretty good ones to consider!
Thanks for stopping by! :)
I just bought the makeup eraser and I can’t wait to use it!
Oh yea it’s such a good one! You will love it!
I need to try the Batiste dry shampoo. Right now I use Not Your Mother’s and it just doesn’t seem to work as well as it used to. I’m not sure if they changed their formula or if my hair is different. Time to switch things up! Thanks for the suggestion.
Yea definitely give it a try and see what you think! I’ve only used the Not Your Mother’s in a travel size and I liked it pretty well, although I do like Batiste better! That has happened to me before too sometimes where things just don’t work as well as they used to. It’s kind of sad haha!
