Ahhhh! Hey everyone! I’m BACK!!! Okay so I have been gone for far too long, but I just needed a break with the holidays and all that jazz. It is very busy at my work around the holidays, so unfortunately I had to hold off on blogging for a while. But I am back and I’m so excited! I hope you missed my posts as much as I missed posting them. Did you have a great Christmas and New Years?! I sure did. Anyways let’s get to the post… today I am sharing with you My Top 16 Beauty Products of 2016. To see everything I’ve been loving ALL YEAR LONG, keep reading!
My Top 16 Beauty Products of 2016
That’s a lot of stuff huh? 16 things I loved all of 2016. Since there is so much it may seem a little unorganized but I’m going to try to go from left to right in a clockwise motion starting at the curling wand and ending with the nail polish from the above picture… let’s get started
// NuMe Lustrum 5 in 1 Hair Wand: I became pretty obsessed with this curling wand. I feel like in 2016 I perfected using this bad boy. It comes with 5 different wands that you can attach to the base, and in 2016 I used every single one of them and fell in love with each wand for a different reason.
// L’Oreal Infallible Pro Matte Foundation: I’ve talked about this foundation several times. If you have oily skin and you are looking for a matte foundation, this is it… it’s affordable and honestly works better than most high-end matte foundations. Amazing!
// NARS Velvet Lip Glide in Bound: These Velvet Lip Glides are fairly new to the NARS world and when I first saw them in Sephora I was really intrigued. I thought they would be more matte than they are by how they are described, but I really love the finish on these. I wear this when my lips are super dry from wearing matte/liquid lipstick all the time. These are dry-lip-savers in my opinion.
// Bite Beauty Amuse Bouche Lipstick in Meringue: This was one of the first “nudes” I’ve bought that I just can’t get enough of. I love it so much, it’s a peachy nude shade so it doesn’t completely remove color from your lips. This lipstick is very creamy and pigmented, and super easy to apply without a mirror! :)
// Physician’s Formula Butter Bronzer: Oh my goodness, you have probably already heard about this bronzer, but it smells amazing. There have been days when I’m not using it that I will just open up the package and smell it, it’s that good. But the bronzer itself is actually really nice as well. This is a great bronzer for when I’m at my fairest, it applies nice and even with a subtle sheen finish.
// Laura Mercier Translucent Loose Powder: I have tried a lot of powders in my days, but none compare to this. I love it so much, it’s easy to use, does its job, sets your makeup, and lasts all day. It’s just great. It can also be used for baking as well. This may even be a Holy Grail powder for me!
// Giorgio Armani Eyes to Kill Mascara: Okay, mascara is just one of those things I never seem to find the perfect one for me, until I tried this beauty by Giorgio Armani. It gives my lashes volume and length while staying jet black all day long. I just put on a coat or two and my lashes come to life. It is expensive but totally worth it in my opinion.
// NARS Eye Shadow Duo in Isolde: This is the perfect eye shadow duo to throw on when you are feeling uninspired or you don’t want to take a long time to do your eye makeup. With that being said, I don’t want it to sound like
// Sunday Riley Luna Sleeping Oil: Oh my goodness, I can’t even begin to tell you how much I love this stuff. It is totally worth every hype I ever saw. I believe this has changed my skin so much. A full blog post on this is coming very soon.
// TreeHut Sugar Shea Scrub in Moroccan Rose: This scrub honestly gets me so excited, the type of excitement that makes my voice raise an octave when I tell other people about it. Let me just tell you… it smells absolutely AMAZING! When I use this I’m whisked away to a high-end spa with that soothing spa music on that only spas can play, while wearing a big white fluffy robe… you get the picture! It’s just amazing! At least smell it when you see it at Ulta!
// Tangle Teezer: I always have tangles in my hair when I wash it, even if I use conditioner. This brush helps get out those tangles with ease. Now I’m not going to lie and tell you you don’t feel any tangles at all, because you certainly do if your hair is just tangle prone, but this does really help. I also really love to use this brush on dry 2nd day hair that I curled the day before. I find when I use this on my curls it blends the curls together giving them a polished look on dirty hair.
// It’s a 10 Leave-In: This product goes hand in hand with the Tangle Teaser mentioned above. But I notice a big difference in my hair when I use this. If you haven’t heard about it, it does 10 things for your hair, leave in conditioner (so it helps with the said tangles above) and heat protectant, and many more.
// Purity by Philosophy: This is the perfect gentle face wash that gets the job done. It isn’t drying or skin stripping, it gently cleanses the face while also removing makeup and adding moisture. It’s pretty incredible. And it smells like the said spa from up above. :)
// Morphy Brushes Blush Palette: I feel like everyone needs this blush palette! I use this almost everyday, it’s such an easy choice with tons of options. I feel like the whole palette can take you through every season, so you can use this from Winter to Summer. Color payoff is amazing, wearability is long lasting, and it’s super affordable.
Β // Urban Decay Beached Bronzer: This wouldn’t be a 2016 favorites post if I didn’t mention this bronzer. I used this so so so much throughout 2016. It is the perfect “I just got back from the beach bronzer”. I just love this, it’s honestly a tan/orangey color which we typically try to stay away from orange colors on our face, but this has just the perfect amount that honestly just makes your face look tan. It’s great!
// Formula X Nail Polish: Last but not least, I tried to think of a nail polish I kept gravitating towards throughout the year, and this was it. I used it several times which is pretty uncommon for me. It’s a milky pink polish that is fully opaque and looks stunning on the nails.
If you made it to the end of this post Yay! Thank you for reading the whole thing! These are the 16 products that stood out to me the most last year! Here is finding even better beauty products in 2017.
