Hey friends!
I hope you’ve had a great week so far! Today I’m going to share with you my Top 5 Face Brushes for a flawless makeup look. Makeup brushes are an integral part to how your makeup will look so it’s important to have the right kind of brushes. If you are looking for new makeup brushes for your face, then keep reading!
My Top 5 Face Brushes
Please excuse how dirty these brushes are… I’ve had no time to wash them and they are in a desperate need for a good cleaning… maybe tonight! Find out how I wash my brushes here!
Foundation:
Sigma F80: This brush is a cult favorite by many including myself. It is perfect at blending in your foundation without it being streaky. It blends your foundation into a flawless finish.
Urban Decay Good Karma Optical Blurring Brush: This brush is a lot like the Sigma F80 but they are both so good I had to talk about both. This makes your makeup look flawless and almost airbrushed. It has an angle making it perfect to blend out under eye concealer or foundation around the nose.
Powder:
Powder Brush by Real Techniques: I use this to set my face with powder after foundation and I love it because it’s so big and fluffy that it covers a large area of my face. I also use this when I am wanting to bronze my face. This brush is soft but also dense enough to pick up enough product.
Blush:
Blush Brush by Real Techniques: This brush is perfect for applying that blush to the apples of your cheeks and blending it up towards your temples. Again it is soft but dense enough to pick up the product. You definitely don’t need a high-end blush brush when you have this baby! It works great!!
Contour:
Real Techniques Bold Metals Flat Contour Brush: I have a full review on this brush here. But I really love this brush, it makes contouring so easy. You literally just apply the contour color and blend it out all with this brush.
These are all my Top 5 Face Brushes. Do you own any of these? If so, which ones?
What is your favorite face brush you own?
I want to try the contouring brush! I am using the BareMinerals brushes right now, but I’m due for some new brushes. I’ve been trying to decide if I should stick with the same type or branch out and try another brand.
Yea definitely try the contouring brush, it works great and is really easy to use! I’ve noticed they are on sale a lot at Ulta now which is nice because they are kind of pricey! I use a lot of Sigma brushes, but I am starting to branch out and use other kinds! I think it’s good to do that! :)
Great post! I am always wanting to get more makeup brushes, but all of the good ones are so expensive. I can’t justify investing into them. Do you have a post of your favorite eye makeup brushes at all?
Yea some of the really great brushes are very expensive, but the ones I showed you today are very reasonable! Even though I included more Real Techniques brushes, Sigma Brushes are actually my favorite in general so you should definitely check them out, they are very comparable to MAC brushes! And yes I actually do have a post on that… I should have linked it to this post, but here you go! http://thebeautysection.com/4-eye-brushes-every-girl-needs/
and here is a post showing you ALL of my Sigma Brushes! http://thebeautysection.com/sigma-brush-show-and-tell/
:)
I already use the blush brush and the powder brush daily, but I’ve been thinking about that contour brush for a while. It looks beautiful. Have you thought about the Nars Ita Brush? I use that for contour everyday. Great post!

Yea definitely try out the contour brush, it is really well made and perfect for carving out those cheekbones and anywhere else you like to contour! I have actually thought about the Nars Ita brush, I know it is super popular, but right now I juts don’t think I want to spend $55 on a brush! :/
I definitely want to try contouring! And when I do, I will definitely try out the Real Techniques brush!
Yea try it out for sure!! It is really great! I’ve actually noticed lately too that the Bold Metals Collection brushes have been on sale at Ulta, so you can get them like half off or something which is nice cause they are kind of pricey! :)
