Today I am going to review a new line of nail polish by the brand ORLY. It is the Orly Color AMP’D polishes and I’m going to tell you what I think about them… are they worth the price or just a waste? We shall see! Keep reading to find out more!
ORLY Color AMP’D Nail Polish Review
What it is:
“ORLY, a leader in professional nail care since 1975, redefines how you think about at home manicures with ORLY Color Amp’d. Watch smudges disappear with our 2-step Flexible Color system. Our innovative formula contains shock absorbing polymers allowing the finish of your manicure to bounce back, remain elastic and flex with the nail, reducing chipping. This advanced system wears for up to a week.”
The packaging is a lot like Orly’s regular packaging with the rubber handle making an easier application and the bottle itself has nice bold writing on it. There are 17 shades in this collection. Mine is in the color LA Selfie (which makes me laugh every time)
Price and Where to Buy:
Individual colors and the top coat are $9.99 each, but they do offer a set that comes with 1 color and 1 top coat for $14.99… I highly recommend doing that then if you want to buy another color you won’t have to buy the top coat again you will already have it. The only place I’ve seen the AMP’D line is at Target, not sure if it’s a Target exclusive or other stores just haven’t started carrying them yet.
What to Do:
Step 1 // Start out with clean polish free nails and apply one coat of the color (LA Selfie). Let them dry for a few seconds and go in with another coat if you wish. (These are pretty opaque with just one coat in my opinion)
Step 2 // Apply the top coat to all of your nails and magically see your nails become super smooth.
I forgot to take a picture of my nails with my real camera, so a phone picture is as good as I got, sorry!
I absolutely love this new innovation from Orly. I’ve had several people ask if my nails were gel nails because they were so smooth. I have read some other reviews saying that this didn’t last long on their nails, but this lasted 8 days on mine without any touch ups! It does tell you to re-apply the top coat every 3 days for a longer lasting finish, but I didn’t even do that and it lasted so long. It gives a very smooth application. I’m totally into these, and I love all the fun colors they have to offer! :)
Would you try these?
