Now onto today’s post, on GlamGlow’s Super Cleanse Face Wash. Keep Reading!

Product Review: GlamGlow Super Cleanse

GlamGlow Super Cleanse Face Wash. Made for Oily Skin. Is it Worth the splurge?

Made for Oily Skin. Is it Worth the splurge?GlamGlow Super Cleanse Face Wash. Made for Oily Skin. Is it Worth the splurge?GlamGlow Super Cleanse Face Wash. Made for Oily Skin. Is it Worth the splurge?

What It Is:

“A revolutionary Mud to Foam™ daily cleanser that changes color and transforms from mud into a gentle, effective foaming lather to dissolve oil, makeup, and impurities.”

What It Claims:

“It’s designed to reduce the appearance of skin imperfections and create a mattified, super clear complexion.

Packaging:

The bottle of cleanser actually comes in a cardboard tube which in my opinion is kind of a waste, but it does tell you “Hello Sexy” on the outside of that tube, and that is totally fine by me. As far as the actual bottle of cleanser, it is in a really nice white plastic bottle with silver writing, a lot like the SuperMud Clearing Mask. It has 5 oz worth of product inside, so it will last quiet a while. It has a pump to dispense the product, however I have noticed mine has gotten clogged a couple times… not a deal breaker though. Because of the pretty packaging this looks really nice on a bathroom counter.

Price:

This cleanser is $39 and can be bought at Sephora. GlamGlow also has 2 other cleansers, Thirsty Cleanse, and Youth Cleanse.

How To Use:

  • Apply one to two pumps onto fingertips; apply gently over dry face.
  • With remaining product left on hands, lightly add water to hands and vigorously rub together to start the foaming lather.
  • Apply lather to face and lightly add more water in circular motions to increase foaming lather.
  • Rinse thoroughly with warm water.
  • Gently pat dry with towel.
  • Use morning and/or night.

I will say this takes longer to use than my regular face wash does, because you start out with your face and hands dry, then you just keep having to add water to it. Plus it can be a little more messy as well.

I did try an experiment with this cleanser. Because this is similar to the same consistency of the SuperMud Clearing Mask, I decided to try this out as a mask and see if it worked the same…it didn’t just so you know! :)

Final Thoughts:

I really like this cleanser a lot, but with it’s price tag I don’t think it’s something you HAVE to have. It does do a really great job at cleaning out yucky pores, and balancing out my oily skin. You may can find similar cleansers at the drugstore, they may do the same things but they won’t work as well.

The true question is…Would I repurchase this? And the answer is, yes I would. I will say, if you have dry or even normal skin I would not suggest this one for you. Even my super oily skin has been getting dried out around my hairline. So if your skin is on the drier side I would definitely try the Thirsty Cleanse instead.

So there you go, my 100% honest review of the new GlamGlow Super Cleanse face wash. This line of products has been super popular and worth the money so far, we will see what they come up with next!

Does this look like something you would like to try? Or would you just stick to your current face wash now?

From what I have seen, GlamGlow tends to go above and beyond when it comes to packaging their product. I like that they take so much care to make their packaging attractive and personal to their customers, but part of me is always like “can you put it in a plain bottle and take $20 off the price”. lol!

But even if it was $20 cheaper, I don’t think I would purchase this. Since I love makeup so much, I just can’t bring myself to ‘waste’ money (that could be spent on new makeup) on a cleanser when the $6 one I get from Ulta works just as well for me.

Hahaha, I sound so cheap! I totally understand and agree you shouldn’t skimp when it comes to your skincare routine. But if there is an inexpensive product that is just as good as a more expensive product (mind you, I’m only talking about skincare. When it comes to makeup, this doesn’t apply, lol), I’ll save the money and just go with the less expensive one. :-)

    Yeah, I have a makeup issue…..but don’t we all?? ;-)

Haha I understand that for sure! Most of the time I just use drugstore skincare, but I always notice a difference in my skin when I actually use things that are more expensive because the quality is better! Not really talking about this product but more along the lines of moisturizers and serums and such! But I’m like you, always thinking of what else could I get for this same price! Sometimes I just bite the bullet and get it, if I don’t like it I always return! :)

I bought this, then returned it without ever using it because I heard some other reviewers also say it wasn’t ideal for dry skin types. I have combo/dry skin and I didn’t want to risk any dry patches, but I thought the packaging was great!

Yea if you have dry skin at all this makes it even drier. In fact I have super oily skin but we’ve been having some pretty harsh cold weather lately and I’ve had to kind of give this cleanser a break for a while, because the cold air plus that cleanser was drying out my skin. You should try the Thirsty Mud Cleanser. :)

Yea it is cool, but just something you end up throwing away. Or I guess you could find something to use it for! :)
You should try the Thirsty Cleanse then, I may even try that one next time just to see how it works! :)

I have really really oily skin and I finally got rid of all the products sold in stores and went for natural, organic soap made in Vermont. I wish that I knew whether these products would actually work on my face before spending $30+ on something that might or might not work. I bet the beauty industry is just making a killing these days! Lol. Thank you for giving your honest opinion on this product! I have friends that are always looking for new things to try so I will have to keep this in mind :) Sending love from The Peony Project!

Well it is nice to meet someone else with really oily skin! Sometimes I feel all alone. So is your skin as oily now using the natural organic soap?
Yea with products like this you don’t ever really know if it’s going to work for you until you try it. That’s why if something isn’t working I just return it, especially if it’s $30+. You are right though, the beauty industry is definitely making a killing! Haha!

Thanks for stopping by, definitely tell your friends about it! :)
