Red Lipstick For Your Skin Tone

Red Lipstick For Your Skin Tone

Hey friends!!

Red lips are perfect for this upcoming 4th of July, and I don’t know about you but I love red lipstick, red lips are just so classy and timeless. But what shade goes with your skin tone? Today I’m going to share all the details with you, so keep reading!

Red Lipstick For Your Skin Tone

Before we get into this post, let me just go ahead and tell you… YOU can wear red lipstick!! I know so many women that are afraid to try it because they think they might look like a clown, or it’s going to smear and get all over them. But I am here to bust that theory. Red lipstick is beautiful and I don’t care what skin color, eye color, or hair color you have you won’t look like a clown. You just gotta find your perfect color and rock it!! I promise you will be surprised at how much you love it!

Fair Skin:

All the fair skinned girls out there look best in cherry reds with blue undertones. To me cherry reds are so classy. Any red lipstick with blue undertones will actually make your teeth look whiter, which is always a good thing. My favorite true cherry red lipstick is MAC’s Ruby Woo (Matte). This lipstick is absolutely stunning, and very wearable (in my opinion).

Medium Skin:

Medium skin girls are pretty lucky, a lot of reds look great on you, but some look even better than others. My personal favorite is organey-red lipsticks. These can be harder to pull off, but with your nice medium skin this shade will be so flattering for you. One of the first organgey- red lipsticks I ever bought was Maybelline’s Neon Red. I love this color so much!!

Dark Skin:

Tangerine reds look AMAZING on dark skin girls. If you want your lips to be bold with a pop of color this is your shade. The color I would pick is Wet N Wild’s What’s Up Doc… it’s basically all I’ve been wearing lately! This shade maybe more on the coral side, so an even better tangerine color would be Revlon’s Orange Flip (not pictured).

I hope this post was helpful to you next time you are wanting to try a red lipstick but aren’t exactly sure what goes best with your skin! But remember makeup is just fun, if you are fair skinned and want to wear tangerine or orange lipstick then girl you do you! These are just suggestions for what goes with each skin tone.

Have a great 4th of July weekend!!

Do you like red lipstick? Are you scared to try it?
