Hey everyone! I hope you are doing great today! I am so excited about this review so I don’t want to waste any time, I just want to dive right in. Tati Beauty Review here we go…
Tati Beauty Review + Swatches.
Not sure what that shadow is on this pic… but ignore that.
Who is Tati?
If you don’t know who Tati is let me catch you up… She is one of the OG “Beauty Gurus” on Youtube under the name of GlamLifeGuru or Tati Westbrook. She has 9.73 million subscribers, has uploaded 1,622 videos and is a true queen. I love watching her videos because I know I am getting an honest review of something. She is also very passionate and takes her job serious.
When she first announced she was coming out with her own palette, not a collab but her own makeup brand in it’s entirety I knew I wanted to jump on it. When she actually did a video showing the palette and swatching every shade I couldn’t even finish watching the video before I hopped over to her website to purchase the palette. It is beautiful as I’m sure you can tell in these pics.
Check out her channel here.
Let’s get on to the review and swatches.
Packaging and Pricing.
The packaging is a nice soft touch finish, yes it will get fingerprints on it, but honestly I don’t care about that kind of stuff, it just means it is well loved. The palette has a really good weight to it, it feels substantial in the hands. It has an amazing mirror, perfect for travel, or really even every day life. It’s huge and very clear.
(it’s kind of hard to take a pic of a mirror, hello selfie :) )
Price >> the price is $48 before shipping and tax. For the size of the shadows and how many shadows their are, I think that is a totally fair price. You can buy this palette only at tatibeauty.com
The first batch has already sold out so you can order your for pre-order and they will ship December 15. Perfect timing for Christmas!
One of the coolest things about this palette is it is 6 shades, just 6 shades, but each of the 6 shades has 4 different finishes… I have never seen that done in any palette I own.
The six shades are Memory, Ritual, Story, Soothe, Aura, and Poet. We will go over each swatch in just a minute.
The four finishes are Matte, Sequin, Metallic, and Glitter.
I decided to take the pictures with the flash on so you can really see the glitters. From left to right we have matte, sequin (matte with fine glitter on top), metallic and glitter.
(if you see glitter in the mattes, it’s because taking off the previous swatches was hard as heck to get off, so I ended up with glitter EVERY WHERE!!)
Here is my look today. I started with the matte shade Soothe, darkened it up with matte Story and Ritual, put the metallic shade of Story on my lid and pressed the glitter Soothe on top, finishing off with matte Memory for the smudged out black liner. I’m super into this look and I think it looks stunning!
I’m so in love with this palette. I can’t wait to play with it every day! Every single finish and texture is absolutely perfect! I am blown away by how pigmented the mattes are, how smooth the sequins are, how metallic the metallics are (see what I did there), and how show stopping the glitters are. Each finish is so so good, I can’t get over it guys.
I love a good glitter eye shadow, I don’t care if it’s a Monday at work, I’m gonna rock a good glitter eye and these DO NOT disappoint. Of course there is a little fall out in the beginning but I just brush that away with a duo fiber brush, but once these glitters are on your eye they do not move (they don’t even crease) until you take them off that night. You don’t need a glitter glue or anything extra, just press them on with your finger and you are good to go. Trust me, you are going to want to wear these every day, not just on a holiday!
This palette is warm tones we all love, but the different textures and finishes is what makes this palette so unique. The glitters are literally everything to me! It’s like I just can’t wear a regular eye look with no glitter now… who dis?
Anyways guys, if you were thinking about getting this palette, here is your sign… GET IT! Even if you weren’t thinking about getting it, now you are… so GET IT! :)
