Happy Thursday!
I wasn’t even planning on buying this palette at all, because honestly do I need another neutrals palette? No. And this wasn’t even on my radar, until one of my favorite YouTube Beauty Gurus… MakeupbyTiffanyD kept raving over it. I also heard from a few other friends that is just so different than other neutral palettes. So what else did I do but give in to the temptation. But I don’t regret it one bit. Keep reading to see swatches and a full review.
Packaging:
The packaging is a metal case with a magnetic closure, which makes it really easy to open and close. I will say it is a little bit thick, and more heavy than some other palettes I own, but that really isn’t a big deal, it just may not be as travel friendly than others. It has a decent sized mirror on the inside. One thing I really don’t like about the packaging is that the names of each color are printed on a clear plastic cover that goes on top of the eye shadows. So every time you use the palette you have to remove that first. I would much rather have the names printed directly on the inside itself.
Inside the Palette:

As soon as you open the palette you are thrown into a world of pure chocolate goodness. Literally this palette smells like sweet cocoa powder, not a fake chocolate smell either. This is what Too Faced says: “The eye shadows are pigmented with pure, antioxidant-rich cocoa powder”. Let’s just go ahead and give a round of applause to the marketing team for this one! Clap Clap Clap.Β
Just from first glance the palette is beautiful! The colors are so rich and pigmented, and exactly the type of quality you would want. It comes with 16 colors, 6 mattes, and 10 shimmers. The colors range from browns, to pinks, to purples and plums.
Price:
This palette is $49, which is about the going rate for palettes like this. With 16 shadows each shadow averages out to be around $3. You can’t beat that. Plus the quality is on point, and this type of palette will last a long time! You can buy it here at Too Faced.
Swatches:
The marketing team did a really great job at naming these too! Every shade sounds as pretty as it looks. I don’t know about you but I love when things have creative names.Β
From Left to Right: Hazelnut, Salted Caramel, Gilded Ganache, and White Chocolate (my favorite highlight shade).
From Left to Right: Creme Brulee, Marzipan, Semi-Sweet, and Haute Chocolate.
This group has two pretty light shades, but still very pretty. From Let to Right: Milk Chocolate, Strawberry Bon Bon, Cherry Cordial, Champagne Truffle.
From Left to Right: Black Forest Truffle, Candied Violet (probably my favorite color in the whole palette), Amaretto, and Triple Fudge.
I love all of these colors and I highly recommend the palette! The pigmentation is great with every color, some of the shadows are going to make more fallout than others, but when you apply them pat them on the lid with a brush instead of sweeping the brush across your lid. This will prevent any fallout. If you are looking for a great neutrals palette with pops of color, you should definitely buy this one!
Do you have the chocolate bar palette? If so, do you like it? If not, do you want to buy it?
I’ve really been debating on this palette, I’m definitely leaning towards purchasing :)
Get it girl! You won’t regret it! :)
love and have this palette!!
Great review! I’m getting my own palette this weekend, I can’t wait to try it out.

Thanks and yes, I just followed you!
I may have to get this. I have blue eyes so browns make my eyes pop. And if it smells good too? I see this in my future.
Oh yea it’s a good one! Browns will definitely look good on your blue eyes! I have green eyes, so the purples and plums in this palette make my eyes pop!
Those colors are all gorgeous!
I know right?
Pretty! Or should I say… Sweet! ;-) Hahaha, that was too cheesy. Those names make me crave chocolate, it’s like they’re working with chocolate companies to make beauty bloggers want chocolate, right? If I didn’t have the Naked palettes, this would definitely be on my wish list. Although, this palette reminds me more of TheBalm’s Nude’Tudes which I love. Yummm…. Chocolate.
Haha I know, I think you are so right! Every time I open it and smells its deliciousness… I want chocolate! It’s ridiculously smart! Haha! I have the naked palettes and I still bought this…oops! :)
I’ve been thinking about buying this, but I already have an original Naked and Naked 3 palettes. After your recommendation, maybe I’ll just have to bite the bullet…
Girl me too! I have both the Naked 1 and 3 and the Naked Basics! This is so different though! I promise! :)
Here is the rub. I am Black. I don’t need that many browns in a palette, which makes me not go for palettes in the first place.
Yea I definitely understand what you are saying! But there are a lot of palettes out there with lots of color instead of browns!
