Urban Decay VICE LTD Palette Review and Swatches

Urban Decay Vice LTD Eye Shadow Palette Review and Swatches

Hey friends!

I feel like it has been forever since I last talked to you! We had a crazy ice storm here in Georgia and I was without power for 37 hours, so no power= no blogging :( being without power is so boring! Anyways I’m back with a review and swatches of the Urban Decay Vice LTD Palette. So keep reading to see all about it.

Urban Decay VICE LTD Palette Review and Swatches:

So I really debated on if I should show you guys this palette or not because it is limited edition and it is actually sold out online everywhere…BUT you can still buy it in your local Ulta or Sephora if they are still available. Also there are 20  shadows in this palette and only 5 new ones, so you could find the majority of the colors…just not in this palette.

I bought this palette for myself on my 1 Year Blogiversary, I really wanted something to remember it by and of course I wanted it to be makeup, was there another option?!? :)

Get ready for lots of pictures…

Packaging:

As all Urban Decay palettes they never cease to amaze. They are always super creative. The outside is a lime green/chartreuse color that is bold and in your face. It has a nice UD rhinestone detail in the center. The palette is pretty bulky so not the best travel companion. It also has a huge mirror on the inside (I’ve kept the clear plastic sheet over it, cause I’m weird haha). All the names of the shadows are printed underneath each shadow. It also comes with a dual ended eye shadow brush which can definitely come in handy!

Price:

This palette is $59 and like I said can only be found at your local Ulta or Sephora if they are still in stock.

Product:

The colors in this palette are absolutely gorgeous. The main reason I got this was because I sometimes get stuck in a rut where I only use neutral shadows. A girl that works at my local Ulta always has the coolest eye makeup (usually bright funky colors) and I told her I wanted to start wearing more color, she told me this palette was brand new and when I looked at it there was no question I just bought it.  It is the perfect mix of colors and neutrals. It has 4 mattes and 16 shimmers/glitters. Every shadow is really pigmented and super creamy and blendable.

The only problem I have with this palette is the shadows crease on me so bad throughout the day. I’ve never had that problem before (okay maybe back in middle school). I always wear a primer so this shouldn’t happen. The first time I noticed it I was wearing Goddess (Dark Blue) and underneath I was wearing MAC’s Paint Pot in Painterly and it creased so bad you could barely see any shadow. So I tried another color the next day with Urban Decay’s Primer Potion and it still creased. I’ve noticed the ones that do crease are the bold/darker colors. This actually drives me pretty insane tho.

Final Thoughts

I wanted to love this palette so much, and I do like it still, but it’s not my new best friend. I HATE that it creases, like it pains me to look in the mirror and see my eye shadow is no where to be found, after all that work. I still use it and will continue to use it because the colors are so beautiful and maybe I can find a solution to my creasing problem. If you were asking me if you should buy it I would probably say no, you can find similar shadows that don’t crease.

Have you tried this palette? Do you get the same results as me?
