Hey friends! I hope you had a great weekend! Today I am sharing with you a super easy tutorial on how to make your own DIY Lash Serum. It’s so easy, so if you are wanting longer, fuller lashes then just keep reading.
Want Longer Fuller Lashes?
Story Time.
First of all let me just tell you a story, or nightmare. Let me just preface this story with telling you I have naturally semi long and full lashes. So about a month ago I went and had a makeover at MAC for the grand opening of a new store, the makeover was going great and the makeup artist asked if I wanted to wear false lashes. I don’t ever wear falsies so I thought why not? She put them on, no problem, I wore them the rest of the day, no problem, and when I took them and the rest of my makeup off that night there was still no problem. The problem showed up the next day when I was putting my makeup on for Easter Sunday, and noticed when I was putting mascara on my left eye that my lashes looked like they were completely cut straight across in the middle (see picture below). I didn’t have much time to really worry with it, but it was pretty bad so I HAD to find something to help grow them back.
What you Need:
- Vitamin E Oil
- Caster Oil
- Coconut Oil
- Small Container for Storage (found in Walmart with the travel shampoos and such)
What You Do:

1 // Pour the Vitamin E oil in the first third of your container
2 // Next pour the Caster Oil into the next third
3 // And lastly pour the Coconut Oil into the last third.
4 // Mix it together with your fingers and you are done.
If the coconut oil solidifies in the container, just warm it up with your fingers and stir the mixture up again.
How To Use:
I apply this every night with my ring finger. I just dip my finger into the mixture and coat the top of my lashes, as well as under the lash line. This can be used on both the top and bottom lashes. I highly suggest only using it at night because it is very oily and it could cloud your vision. This mixture is very safe for your eyes. I do suggest if you use it for a while, to pour out the mixture after a few weeks and make a fresh one.
Now for the moment you’ve all been waiting for… the after picture.
In this picture I had been using the serum for 4 weeks, but I noticed a difference within the first week of use. My lashes still aren’t quiet the same as they used to be, but they are getting there. They look a little clumpy in the picture, but that was because of the mascara I was using.
I so hope this was helpful to you whether you’ve experienced your lashes breaking off or if you just want longer, fuller lashes. This is seriously so easy and cheap to make and it really works.
Do you think you will make this lash serum? Please share this post with your friends and family if it was helpful to you! :)
Wow, that’s a scary story! I would probably freak out! I’m glad you were able to find a way to grow them back, though. I’d love to have longer, fuller lashes, so this is something I want to try. Coconut oil is the best!
I know it was scary, I silently freaked out on the inside, because I kept thinking they are JUST lashes, and I’m not laying in the hospital hooked up to machines… sorry to get so deep, but I had to put into prospective for myself! Yea definitely give it a try! Coconut oil is the best, I think I’ve used it in pretty much every DIY I’ve done on here! :)
OMG that is crazy! I’ve never heard of that happening..did they just peel off with the lashes? I love the idea of this DIY serum. I have rather thin lashes but have been too nervous to try professional grade serums as the side effects are kind of scary.
I guess they did, I went back to look at the lashes later and I couldn’t really see my real lashes in there, but it was pretty traumatic! Yea definitely try this because it is all natural, those other serums do seem kind of scary!
Our 18 month boy has longer lashes than i do! So, yes, i am trying this! Thanks!
Haha isn’t that how it always works?! Boys don’t care about having long lashes, us girls do! :)
was just trying to figure out which one to buy… i may try this instead!!!!
Yea definitely try this one and see what you think… if it doesn’t work for you you can always buy one, but this is definitely the cheaper option!! :)
Such a great idea! Thank you for sharing this recipe. I love that it’s only a few ingredients so there aren’t any harsh chemicals or anything like that! I also love the colors of your blog!
You are so welcome!! Yea it’s very natural which is great so you aren’t putting anything bad in or near your eyes. You should try it!! Aww thank you so much, I do too! haha :)
Wow! That’s crazy that it basically just chopped part of your lashes off! I am glad you found something that helped!
Yea it was pretty traumatic haha, but I’m glad they have come back!!
This is so awesome! I will definitely try it! Btw…loving the lip scrub DIY. Used it this morning!
Definitely try it and let me know what you think!! Yay I’m glad you tried it and love it! It works great! :)
