Hey guys! What is up?! Today I wanted to talk to you about Washing Your Brushes in an Instant. This post is simple, but in my opinion a total makeup game changer. Keep reading to learn all about it.
Wash Your Brushes In An Instant
As we all know, washing your makeup brushes is really important. It kills any built up bacteria that may be lingering in your brushes after using them too long, and it also cleans them to get rid of old color from eyeshadow, blush, foundation, etc. But taking the time to wash your brushes with the traditional brush cleaner and water and lots of swirling around motions, can be very time consuming. I know for me there have been plenty of times where I have needed to wash my brushes, but I just kept pushing it off another week and another week, until a long time goes by and oops, that’s real talk.
If we can’t deep clean our brushes on the reg, at least we can spot clean them pretty much every day… here is how.
Beauty Blender INSTACLEAN:
A waterless cleaning spray that helps lift away surface stains so your beautyblenders and makeup brushes are always in prime condition, no matter where you are.
How to use:
(after playing around with this, I have found the best way to use this, for me at least.)
- Grab a napkin, paper towel or towel
- Spray INSTACLEAN directly onto the napkin
- Take the dirty brush and swirl it into the INSTACLEAN you just put on the napkin
- Swirl the brush until it is completely clean, I sometimes drag the brush on the napkin and press down to make sure it’s getting completely clean.
- After it is clean, it is ready for you to use. No drying time, no waiting around, it’s 100% done and ready to use ( I love that so much!)
Look how clean that got! :)
This is literally the easiest and quickest thing to do before your makeup, this can be used on any size brush and a Beauty Blender. When I first bought this INSTACLEAN, at Sephora (only $16) I kind of thought it was gimmicky and may not work. I had to play around with it at first because let me warn you, it will make a mess if you aren’t careful. The nozzle sprays kind of wide and you don’t really have any control over how much comes out, that’s why it’s easier to spray directly onto a napkin or something.
I’m so glad I use this now, I wear a lot of bronze/gold/orange eye looks and sometimes the next day I want to wear purple, this product cleans that old color off, so I can get the exact shade I want the next day. So cool. Don’t worry I will still deep clean my brushes when I have the time! :)
Have you tried this before? Do you clean your brushes regularly?
